OOTD: Jolita Jewellery

Hat~Topman
Dress~Primark
Belt~New Look
Wedges~New Look

When the lovely Jolita contacted me about modelling one of of her brother's jewellery pieces,it took me exactly 2.5 seconds to respond in a very loud and un-lady like "hell yeah".
It is not a secret that I love statement jewellery, and Jolita Jewellery is definitely a brand I would check out!

Designer Algis, uses his eye for detail, elegance and colour to create edgy one of a kind pieces for men and women. The pieces are so unique and bold, that they have been featured in a number of publications such as French Glamour , Bath Fashion Week and Vogue China to name a few.

When I received the necklace Jolita sent me, I was taken back by the level of detail and colour this piece had. What I really love about this piece is the clever balance of elegance and the punch of colour given up by the neon orange in this piece. To do this dress justice, I paired it with my favourite yellow tulip dress, and added a bit of edge with my Topman bowler hat.

What do you think? I can't help but browsing on the boutique... my other favourites are Rio,  Rimini and Prague. How would you style up this necklace?

OOTD: The Dress-New Look

 Dress~New Look
Belt~Primark

Hope you guys are having a lovely Sunday!,this is just a quick post to show you guys what I wore to my best friends 21st Birthday,on Friday. It's a little different to what I would usually wear on a night out, but I like it anyway. It was a hidden treasure that I found tucked in the rails inside New Look, I decided to spice it u slightly and add a pinch of colour with my trust blue suede belt from Primark! The I finished it off with my favourite shoes ever, my Chelsea boots.  God bless ebay for your affordable finds.

So did you go out on Friday, and if so what did you wear?

Spring/Summer 2012 trends:My Way

It's that time of year again where the catwalks and magazines, amaze us with this seasons trends. Key trends this season have been print clashing, pastels, white and lace, tribal prints and Sport Luxe. Now some of these trends are very cool, but I seem to be a little uninspired by some of them as they seem a bit safe. I am a girl who likes to experiment with my trends,so I have taken aspects of theses new trends and created my own hybrid looks, which are affordable.

AZTEC,FLORAL AND BOLD COLOURS=PRINT CLASHING

OUTFIT 1:
BLAZER-PRIMARK
AZTEC TOP-H&M
FLORAL TULIP SKIRT-ZARA
MUSTARD BELT-DOROTHY PERKINS
LILAC WEDGES-NEW LOOK

Many people tend to shy away from one printed piece, but a whole outfit based on contrasting prints is a no go area for the faint hearted. It really isn't that scary once you know how to mix contrasting patterns.I always choose prints that share similar colours, the aztec top and floral skirt both have blues, pinks, reds and a bit of black making it easier to pair together. Also as the the aztec top has a white background, which also helps. Usually I aim to stick to two printed pieces, and use plain coloured accent pieces, such as the blazer, belt and wedges. But if you are brave enough, to pair more than one piece and make it work, then go ahead... this trend is about having fun after all.

LEOPARD BOW TIES AND MASCULINE PASTELS

OUTFIT 2:
BLAZER-PRIMARK
BLOUSE-H&M
BOW TIE-LITTLE ME
PINK JEANS-ASOS
LILAC WEDGES-NEW LOOK

Whenever I see the pastel trend, it is always shown to be ultra  feminine. I have never really seen this trend edged up, so I decided to combine my favourite trend from A/W '11, the masculine trend and revive it for S/S '12.

TRIBAL ARM SWAG AND FEMININE PASTELS

OUTFIT 3:
BLAZER-PRIMARK
BLOUSE-PRIMARK
BRACELETS-GHANA
PINK JEANS-ASOS
LILAC WEDGES-NEW LOOK

With this look, I have again chosen the pastel trend but made it more feminine.By just removing the blazer, bowtie and changing my blouse to a pussy blouse, I have gone from a gentleman to a lady. I decided to pair this outfit with one of my favourite trends this season, tribal! The bracelets add a bit more interest to the traditional girly pastel trend, don't you think?

So how will you be rocking these seasons trends? will you be staying safe or experimenting a bit?
