Have you recovered from yesterday's food hangover? I am slowly getting there, but boy did I go in on the food. Christmas may be well and truly over, but the festivities don't have to end! In my house, we usually open our Christmas presents on Boxing day. One present that I was excited to open was the Chloe Signature gift set, sent to me from the lovely team over at Fragrance Direct! Now if you have been following the blog for a while, you know I have worked with Fragrance Direct before around the Christmas holidays. This time, I was happy to get this set and also a lovely Christmas cracker which included a lovely sample of Narcisco Rodriguez eau de parfum & W7 Deluxe lipstick in Chestnut.
The set includes a 75ml Eau de Parfum Spray, 100ml Body Lotion & 5ml Mini perfume. I haven't had the chance to review all of the items, but I tried the mini perfume and the smell is of high quality! Seriously I wish you could smell what I smell as the fragrance is divine. Think of a floral, feminine sent. It isn't over powering and you only need a little amount to make an impact. I guess if you wanted to for go perfume for the day, then the fragranced lotion would be a great option too.
I have heard loads about W7, an affordable make up brand, that packs a punch in some of it's products. I was happy to receive this lipstick as I am a lipstick hoarder, expect a make up look with this soon. he Narcisco perfume surprised me, I hadn't heard of the brand before but I really liked the scent, a cross between musky and feminine! This sample will be in my hand bag until I can get my hands on the full bottle. What did you get for Christmas?

Merry Christmas boos, I hope you are having a wonderful day with your loved ones, I know I am. As it is the festive season and all, I wanted to share my experience of the Santa Run, in Battersea Park. I was invited to this event, by the lovely Joes Blogs. I have been enjoying these wacky, events. Remember the 5K Zombie Evacuation Run I did back in November? Well, this Race had a similar concept, however we were all dressed in Santa costumes and we had to run 6k instead around the beautiful Battersea Park. Although it was hella cold, it was actually a beautiful morning!
I was joined by the lovely Olivia, and Hermonie from the Joes Blogs team. I am happy to say we completed the race and still looked fabulous after lol! I mean it was a tame and race, so we didn't really break a sweat. We spent most of the race having a good old chat! I loved this event, as you could see everyone and their dog (seriously a dog took part) just get involved and have some fun. The purpose of the race was to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK. Additionally, we were sponsored by Simply Health to promote healthy outdoor activities this winter. It definitely was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning! Would you try this?

Last month, I had the pleasure of being invited to the Kaleidoscope SS 15 press breakfast, in the Balthazar,in Covent Garden. If you weren't aware, this was my second press event, from the brand. I was first introduced to Kaleidoscope back in June, and I was impressed then.
I was happy to say I was impressed with the range again! As soon as I entered, I was immediately greeted to the lovely PR girls who gave me a tour of the up and coming collection. There were a few pieces that caught my eye, the zig zag jumpsuit, the floral bomber, the leopard loafers and the leather dress. I really wanted to snap my favourite pieces, and take it home...but that would be stealing and that isn't a good look.
We were lucky enough to have the Kaleidoscope buyers, talk to us about the inspiration behind the latest trends for the new season. The key trends for the SS15 season are summer prints which emphasises detail and aztec prints;whites and pastels;summer florals;colour blocking;utility and monochrome! Monochrome was by far my favourite trend, so expect a few looks on this the blog next season. What do you think of the collection?

If you know me well, you know that I am an Instagram junkie, so when I was invited to Instagram photo tour with Best LDN Walks I couldn't say no! Best LDN walks do unique walking tours around London, so if you are looking for something quirky to do, then check them out. The tour was also sponsored by mobile company GiffGaff, so if you were wondering why I was using the hashtag #giffgaffsnaps last month on some of my pics, that is why!
My photography group started our tour by the Imax in Waterloo and ended around the Piccadilly Circus area. We were led by photography aficionado Phil Hibberd from Photo Made Simple, who helped us with our photography skills during the tour. I was happy to be accompanied with my blogger pal Olivia, and other blogger peeps who made the tour extra special. Let me tell you that we both got really into the tour and were snapping and uploading pics, like there was no tomorrow! I deffo lost a follower or 2.
The tour was interesting as it, not only allowed me to learn and express my interest of photography through a new medium, but I also got to explore hidden gems in London such as the Banksy Tunnel and the Skate Park in South Bank. Speaking of the Banksy Tunnel, we got the opportunity to ignite our inner graffiti artist and tag the walls! As the founder of FBL Bloggers, I obviously had to tag the #fblchat!
All in all, I had a great time and learnt these nifty tips for mobile photography from Phil. Have you ever considered a instagram photo tour?

ALL DRESSES/JUMPSUITS ARE FROM GEORGE AT ASDA
It is scary to think Christmas is around the corner! I mean how did that happen? No I haven't done my Christmas shopping, decorated my home or figured out what I am going to wear to my work Christmas party, which is this Thursday.... eeek! As you can guess it, I am a bit of an un-organised mess this Christmas, and I seriously need to find something affordable and fashionable for my xmas party!
Luckily, George at ASDA have a few options that have caught my fancy! If you know me well, you know I don't like to spend a lot but still look good. The thing with Christmas parties is that you end up spending loads and you never wear the outfits again! However, I am determined to find something versatile as I refuse to have another outfit collect dust at the back of my wardrobe. Above are some of the potentials I can rock this Thursday!
1) ALL OVER SEQUIN DRESS £25.00- Truthfully, I never used to be a fan of sequins, but I really liked the look of this dress. It's a mini which is a plus and it is a little bit bodycon in shape. To style this, I'd wear strappy black heels and a simple clutch.
2) LACE PANEL PLAYSUIT-£16.00 - I love colbalt blue and playsuits! So this is such a pretty option for a Christmas outfit. I'd pair this with my leopard print court shoes, and gold box clutch.
The Bardot dress is such a classic and sexy option for a Christmas dress! I chose this dress in red because wearing black all the time is boring. Red is such a nice colour for my skin tone, plus it is festive.
4) BELTED CHAIN NECK JUMPSUIT-£20.00 -This jumpsuit is a wild card for me! I love jumpsuits, but I am scared that I can never pull it off What attracted me to this piece is that it is belted. As a curvy girl, I can't treally get away with anything too loose or shapeless as it makes me look bigger than I am. O like that there is a little bit of sexy with the keyhole cut in the top. I never really show my chest tbh, but I think this is enough flesh to be classy and sexy. How would I pair this, with my favourite chunky heels, red lippie and hair curled and swept to the side.
So these are my choices, which do you think I should go for?
*I worked with ASDA as a collaboration post.

EYES-USED THE FOLLOWING COLOURS (TEASE,SUSPECT,PISTOL ON THE LID AND HALF BAKED ON THE TEAR DUCT AND INNER CORNER OF THE EYE) FROM THE EARTH TONE PALETTE
Happy Monday, and 1st of December! I thought I'd get the week off to a great start with a beauty review and make up look, as it has been a while since I have done one. I was contacted by Tmart.co.uk, who are a Malaysian company and asked if I wanted to review some beauty items. After scouring the health and beauty section, I decided to give their site a go and opted for the 12 colour Earth tone make up palette, which is £6.39 and a dupe for the Naked 2 Urban Decay palette. I also opted for the MeNow Multicolour 6 Colors Eyeliner Eye Shadow Pencil with Sharpener which was £3.73.
The eye liner pencils are quite pigmented as you can see from above, I had trouble rubbing it off my arm, so hopefully the have a long wear on the eyes. I haven't had the opportunity to review the official Urban Decay palette, but this dupe was very good in my opinion. Not to mention very pigmented and great for the price.
In order to get a better feeling of how the products would look on my face, I did a quick make up look. I know it is Christmas soon, and everyone is going for darker colours, but I really wanted to do something bright and Grecian inspired, so I came up with the above look. On my lid I used: tease, suspect and pistol and added interest to the eye with half baked in the inner corners and tear duct. Instead of using a black kohl for my eye liner, I used the bronzed kohl which added to the softness of the look, but also helped define it. I added a pop of colour, and interest to the bottom lash with the lime green kohl liner. Finishing off the look, I used the colour boost lippie from boujouirs, to emphasise my lips.
To be honest, I don't remember exactly how long the products took to come, as I received it a while ago. But, it didn't take ages and for the price there are some great bargains. Especially if you are on a budget. What do you think of my look and Tmart?

You may have seen from my instagram, that I have been busy with press events this month. One of the first press events I went to this season was the Superdry SS15 preview, which was held at the flagship store in Regents Street. As SS15 seems like light years away, I was excited by the range and wanted it to come quickly so I could buy,buy buy. Some of my favourites were the embellished Denim pieces! Deffo the cute dress above which would look great with my Superdry leather jacket, that I wore in this post. I was also excited to see the tie dye muscle tees, they had a variety of colours but the orange really caught my eye. As per usual, the leather jackets were on point! I was excited that the classic bento box beauty box had gotten an upgraded. I have had a few in the past and they make the best presents! All in all this was just a small snapshot of the range and I can't wait until it launches.

I have a slight irrational fear, that one day the fabric of society will collapse. Technology will turn against us, and a horrible plague will turn us into brain eating zombies.Well on the 1st of November my worst nightmare came true! Well not exactly, I was face to face with Zombies, but that was because I took part in the #curryszombierun. Lemme tell you a little more about this fun activity, I agreed to wake up in the early hours of the morning, travel all the way to North London (Allianz Park to be exact) and run 5K! Yes 5K for a zombie evacuation race! Anyone, that knows me knows that I hate long distance running, it causes me to sweat which isn't a good look. However, I need to keep fit and I needed a fun incentive to do it, and this seemed right up my street, as I like a challenge.
In a nutshell, the premise of the evacuation race goes a little like this: The whole of the UK was hit by a disease which had caused regular citizens to become flesh eating zombies. The runners, were the unaffected civilians who were trying to avoid the zombies and follow the army to the "safe zone". As the swarms of zombies were everywhere, and were dying to tear into us, we had to be quick and run away from them. See where the running is involved. If we were caught by the zombies, we would become one of them, and our only chance of a cure were blue vials which were slim to find.
We were provided with three Velcro tags in order to survive, if all of them were taken, you became a zombie. The lovely guys at Currys were also sponsoring the joes bloggers blogging team, and we received wearable tech, to monitor our race. I received the Garmin vivo fit band.Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to pair my band to my phone, but I will have a play with it later on.
As soon as the horn went, I sprinted off! I did quite well as I am quite the fast runner. But silly me didn't pace herself so I fell to the back a little, panting like a pig. I did quite well up until a I was ambushed, in the middle of the race. Or as I like to call it, the barbed wire showdown! I tried to use other people as my shield, but my plan messed up and my tags were stolen, which meant I was a zombie. Basically, I was untouchable and had to find blue vials if I wanted to "survive". I found none.
The course was okay, I mean you didn't have to run all the 5K, only when the Zombies came out. But it was really tricky in areas. You had to be careful as there were dips, bushes, twigs and barbed wire. I think my two favourite bits of the race were the black room and the final showdown on the field. The black room, consisted of a totally blacked out warehouse, where the zombies were lurking but you couldn't see them. I sprinted my way though it and wasn't caught.. although it didn't really matter as had lost my tags way before. But I did it for pride and I beat these two fitness dudes. so yay me.
The final showdown basically consisted of punters jerring us on in the outdoor stadium adn zombies everywhere we looked. Now remember when I said I had lost all my tags, well one zombie dude was kind enough to give me one, so I was back in the game! However, I soon thought rookie mistake Jess. I then realised, ran like hell, twisted, turned and dodged my way past the swarm of zombies until I was ambushed just at the end. I thought shit! I was nearly there... so in the end I didn't survive. But it was all good as I had a sick time and kept fit.
It is really hard to explain how much fun I had, so luckily Ceri from the Ginger Warrior made a video on the day: You can also read more about this day here on the Currys blog:http://techtalk.currys.co.uk/computing/bloggers-take-on-zombies-using-smart-tech/
All in all it was a fun day and definitely a good way to enjoy Halloween. So how about you, would you take the challenge?

Tartan! I love you boo, you are definitely my staple trend this season. I swear my wardrobes are bursting with everything tartan . Also remember when I said that I didn't have a hat head, well I totes believe I do now. I love my floppy hat from Select fashion, which was at the time an investment I really didn't need, but with this cold weather I think it is definitely an investment piece. Are you a tartan fan?

Every now and again, I like to give back to people less fortunate. I often opt for creative projects as I feel that this is an interesting way to build awareness of a good cause. This time I am apart of the #bloggerspjday project. Me and a couple of bloggers are raising money for Children in need and supporting the casue by posting an OOTD in our pjs or onesies. Since I have just got my new leopard print onesie from Primark, then I thought it was the perfect time to showcase it and give back to charity at the same time.

You know the other weekend I was taking a stroll down Oxford Street and to my surprise I was hit by the copious amounts of festive lights. Now it took me a while to register what was happening, but then it hit me, it is nearly Christmas time! Now like any other person, I love Christmas, I love the food, the warm snuggly evenings with my loved ones and receiving presents. However, as I am an adult I need to buy presents for other people, and the thought of that strikes fear into my heart and my bank account.
This year, I don't think I am going to struggle thanks to The Bodyshop and their new Christmas Range. You may have seen on my instagram, that I visited the Bodyshop Christmas showcase for work. As I glanced at the delectable range, I was instantly hit by the aromas of the new scents which included Vanilla Brulee, Frosted Cranberry and Glazed Apple. Sounds tasty right? I almost had to remind myself that these were beauty products and not yummy desserts!
I would love to write about the whole Christmas range, but I was given a few pieces from the Glazed apple range; which is one of my favourites next to Vanilla Brulee. I received the Glazed Apple Bath Jelly, which retails for £10.00. All you need to do is pop a few scoops into your bubble bath, with the help of the cute wooden spatula. The spatula has a little ribbon on it, which is helpful so you won't loose it. I enjoyed a cheeky bubble bath using this! And oh my god I was in heaven. As soon as I stepped into my bath, I drifted away into the glazed apple goodness. I almost didn't want to leave my bath, as I was so relaxed.
To finish off, I moisturised with the Glazed Apple Body Butter. Now if you are a fan of the Bodyshop you know that their Body butters are the bees knees, and a staple to any of their collection. As a person who has sensitive and dry skin, I have tried out nearly all of the Body butters. I was pleasantly surprised by this body butter. It was creamy, which was to be expected and moisturised my skin well. The smell was gorgeous! I didn't feel I needed to wear perfume as the body butter was had an aromatic apple scent, that got me a lot of compliments.
Looking at the whole range, I think any of the pieces would make a lovely gift or stocking filler for any beauty obsessed loved one. The 14 piece range retails between £2.50-£25.00, which I think is very affordable for the quality of products you are getting. What I also like about the range is the packaging. The Bodyshop have really stuck to the festive theme with the little Christmas sparkles and red ribbons on the packaging. Which I think makes this range that extra bit special.
Have you tried the Glazed Apple range out? Will you be buying it for a loved one for Christmas?

Today is my 24th birthday, now in the past the prospect of getting older scared the beezejus outta me. But this year I have embraced it, mainly because I have been working on a lot of exciting projects this year. As well as evolving emotionally, my style has been evolving. I am leaning towards an edgy look and I wear darker colours more! I like the more edgy Jess, I am not sure how long it will last though.
