It has only been a few days but Christmas already seems to be a distant memory. Now, the hot topic on everybody's lips is New Years Eve, where to go and especially what to where. I have partnered with Most Wanted, the lifestyle magazine from the UK's #1 voucher site for a special campaign "forget the dress" which is about re-styling those long forgotten party dresses you bought once and never wore again. A lot of us are guilty of this. Did you know that 18-24 year old women, are spending an average of £119 on party outfits! Mental isn't it. I know being a graduate and looking for a job, I definitely cannot be splurging on outfits, this campaign came at the right time.

For the campaign I had to re-style  a dress  that I already owned and style it up three ways. I was given a budget of £50  to enable me to scour the high street for accessories that would help me be the belle of the ball come 31st December.

The dress I choose to was this pink strappy dress from ASOS. At the time, I spent £40 on it   when I first bought it and wore it for my work Christmas party at the Hilton in 2011. However, since then it hasn't come out. I chose the accessories shown above and the total came to £47.48. It was tricky trying to find accessories to style this dress up, but I definately think I have re-vamped this old beauty.. and I will be considering one of these dresses for new years eve. Which one is your favourite? Are you going to save this year, or splurge on a new outfit.

PRESSDAY| Monsoon Accessorize SS14 Press Day

Last month, I ventured to Covent Garden to the Monsoon/Accessorize SS13 press day. I was pretty excited as this was my first ever press day with Monsoon/Accessorize and I was eager to see the trends for the next season. The Monsoon range was colourful as ever! The clothing was has Indian,African inspiration and had luxurious beading with very beautiful fabrics. Just looking at the collection made me want to go on holiday. Next, we were shown the Accessorize collection, which was my favourite, as I am a bit of a magpie and like anything shiny and colourful. I wasn't disappointed! My favourite were the jewelley which bright and bold with embellishment. I was also glad to see that the statement trend will also be strong next season.

All in all it was a great day and I can't wait for the collection to drop. Will you be checking out the new range?

Don't you just love Christmas! It is the one time of the year that I get a fuzzy feeling in side and am thankful for my loved ones. The other perks of this festive month are the presents. Who doesn't like waking up in the morning and ripping through the finely wrapped Christmas paper to get to those coveted gifts.

But what I hate is buying presents. Why, because I always try to get the best gift for my loved ones, and I always leave it to the last minuet! Luckily I was contacted by fragrance direct to review a perfume (I chose Marc Jacobs "Dot") and choose  stocking fillers up to £20. Now, this was really great as it gave me great gift ideas I could give to my female friends and family. Also it wasn't too expensive, so it is great for someone on a budget.

So I must admit I am a sucker for packaging and it was the packaging that drew me to marc jacobs "dot" perfume. As you can see, not only was the outer packaging great but the actual bottle was so pretty with the ladybird and flower theme. I had high hopes for the fragrance and was not disappointed. The perfume gives a floral smell which lasts a while and can be worn at several occasions, and by different ages. Deffo a good Christmas present, I'm just going to be sad when it finishes, I can't bear to throw away the bottle.

Now on to the stocking fillers, £20 may seem like a tight budget to get quality stocking fillers, but I was able to choose really nice beauty products from fragrance direct website as everything is so affordable!

I always find that bath sets make a great gift, especially when you aren't suyre what to get someone. I mean we all need to wash don't we, so I chose the GRACE COLE EASTERN SPA MINI INDULGENCE GIFT SET £3.99   which came with a moisturiser, bodywash and a body ball and the packaging is so cute!

You can never get enough of lipsticks and glosses, I should know I own over 65(I know that is a lot). I chose the  MANHATTAN SOFT MAT LIP CREAM IN 95M £0.99  becuase I had never heard of the brand before, and was curious to try it out and the price was too good to pass up! Truthfully the colour is a bit light but I think paired with a brown liner it should look pretty.

Remeber when I used the apocalips lipgloss to create this look back in the summer. Well the brand had released a RIMMEL APOCALIPS IN ACROSS THE UNIVERSE £5.50 a red tone lipgloss with a slight pink undertone! I'm in love and cannot wait to do a look with this!

W7 is a brand I have been wanting to dabble in for a while, I was intrigued by the W7 DELUXE GEL EYE PENCIL WITH SMUDGER IN BLACKEST BLACK £0.99 . I've only swatched the product but I like it beause it is a gel and pencil in one.

Finally are the ACTIVE COSMETICS GLAMOUR EYELASHES £4.99 .This last year has been  the year of the eyelashes for me and I constantly go through  heaps, so these would make a great gift.

  1. COAT-WAREHOUSE £100.00
  4. BAG-ASOS £45.00
  7. HEELS- ASOS £50.00

Hey all, it has been a minuet since I produced a wishlist. But I decided to bring out my inner stylist in favour of the competition fashion chick are holding for bloggers. Basically, fashion chick have given bloggers the task to create outfits they would wear if they were attending Amsterdam fashion week. If I were to win, I would get two nights accommodation at the 4* Art Hotel Amsterdam and access to Fashion Week shows! How cool is that! So you know I had to give this competition a whirl.

For day 1, I decided to go a little bit glam, and channel my inner Anna Wintour with stylish glasses from Zara. Sticking to my signature look which includes prints, I choose the beautiful mirrorered blouse from ebay, which I would tuck into the leather skirt. To finish the outfit, I would add a touch of elegance with the  statement blue earrings.

On day 2, I decided to keep the outfit simple, but put emphasis on the accessories. The focus of the outfit has to be the coat. Although simple, the belt adds a touch of detail whilst creating an hour glass shape! This is perfect for my body type. I still kept prints in this outfit with the jumper. Paired with the necklace, a sense of elegance meets edgy is created. As the outfit mostly uses a nude pallet, I decided to add a touch of colour with the floral heels.

So what do you think of my outfits?

I have a soft spot for leopard print, I'm not sure why but I am convinced that this elegant creature is my spirit animal, might explain the abundance of leopard print clothing I have in my collection! So, it is no surprise that when I was asked to choose an item from great plains, I immediately gravitated to these jeans. Now, there are two reasons why I love these jeans; there leopard print, but they are a washed out colour making them versatile and easy to style. The second reason I adore these jeans, is because they are SOFT! I am a denim snob, and will refuse to wear stiff and thick jeans. I opted for a size up than I usually go for, only because I have a huge derrière (I'd like to thank my Ghanaian blood for that). The fit was ok, but a a tiny bit loose on the waist and I had to roll the ends up, but this is only the result of me sizing up and being 5'5.

All in all, I had fun styling the jeans, what do you think?

Many of you may remember the 28th October for the crazy storm that happened. I remember it for another reason, the Next blogger workshop(#nbnworkshop). Yes, the poor weather was not going to stop me from this event.. so I glammed up, braved the weather and headed over to The Hoxton Hotel for an exciting yet informative day!

As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I was in awe of the venue. It was totally different from any other event I had been to and resembled a swanky flat, which I have now decided will be my dream home! I was greated by bloggers Renee,Vanessa and Akey, as well as members of the Next team and Jam agency superstar Gemma, who was so cool in person! Gemma made me feel comfortable, but most importantly showed me to the breakfast spread. It was like she knew I had a weakness for breakfast pastries! Much love, girl!!

We were quickly divided into groups, to enjoy three workshops that focused on topics that are important for bloggers . These were Branding& Advertising,Photography & Film and SEO & Web design.

The Branding and Advertising workshop was hosted by Abimarvel, creator of the apartment and Emily from Fashion Foie Gras. This was one of my favourite workshop, maybe because I studied marketing at Uni and love everything to do with this subject. Anywho, this workshop focused on knowing your brand and effectively promoting yourself. It taught me to take risks, not to be scared and most importantly be polite to everyone, as you never know what will happen when you meet the right people! I really connected with this workshop as I really want to be a better blogger and use my skills to get my dream job as a social media executive. Not to mention I would like to take  the FBL network and #fblchat to the next stage! So this talk was very inspiring.

Next was the Photography and Film workshop hosted by Vivianna from Vivianna does make up and Lily from Lily Pebbles.  This was an exciting and informative workshop about photography basics, as well as tips about venturing into the world of Youtube.I have become a photography enthusiast as of late, and have recently ventured into Youtube. So this was very helpful!!

The final workshop  was SEO and Web design.Which was hosted by digital marketing aficionado,  Diego Puglisi from Green light digital and Faye from fashionbeautetc  I found that this was the most eye opening, I have a rough idea of the basis SEO but there is a lot more to it than I thought. The web design section was great, as we got tips on how to improve our design of our blogs.

As well as the workshops, Next and Jam provided a fun snapchat bingo competition, lush food, amazing goody bag and a really nice cocktail session after! All in all I had a great time and learnt loads. Thanks Next!

Today is my 23rd Birthday and I decided to give you all a very special post about my Halloween shenanigans. It is very rare that you'll see me dressed up. I tend to find the whole thing a bit tedious tbh, I blame the lack of fancy dress parties in my childhood for my lack of enthusiasm. However, there is one time of year that I'll make excuses for, and that is Halloween! Can you believe I have only ever been to 2 Halloween parties! Now this is not because I was unpopular growing up, far from it! Growing up in  a Ghanaian household I wasn't really allowed to celebrate Halloween ..sad times. Now as an adult, I let my inner child take full advantage of this spooky season.

This year me and one of my besties, Humayra, were invited to a Halloween Housewarming, at our other best friends flat. Which was lush by the way! Anyway, we had a sick night. I would've taken pictures of the actual party but I was busy having soo much fun, so here is a pic of me and Humayra before the event!

What do you think, do we look spookily gorgeous?(it is a new word I invented).

Hey guys, I am so excited to tell you about the amazing even I went to  about a week and half ago. The guys over at Matalan, invited me to an exclusive screening of Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris at the Bulgari Hotel in Knights bridge, for the Matalan Movie Club event. Now when I got the email about the event, it took me 0.025 seconds (accurate, right? ) to respond in a very loud hell yeah.

When I got to the foyer of the event, I was bombarded with yummy canapés and drinks! Which came at the perfect time as I was starving. After I had finished stuffing my face, I was happy to see the new Autumn/Winter collection Matalan were showcasing, called The Statements. The Statements range focuses on creating chic stapels for your wardrobe, which are timeless. I was very attracted to a fur coat, in the collection and I just might be purchasing it soon.

As well as the yummy food, drinks and beautiful clothing! I got to catch up with all of the lovely fashion bloggers such as Laura, Remi,Amy,Andrea,Laura and Sarah, we all had a good giggle at the event.

The Midnight in Paris film was actually quite good. I'm not usually into romantic comedy's, but this was a very interesting film. It is basically stars Owen Wilson who plays Gil, a writer that is on a trip in Paris with his fiancée and her family. Every night at midnight he goes back to 1920s Paris and meets truly inspiring characters, who lead him to a journey of self discovery.

All in all it was a sick event, and one of the best I have been to so  far! Thanks Matalan :)
