FOTD:Contacts or Glasses?? :Acuvue,Forever21,Sleek,17,Gosh and Rimmel

Have you ever been at the point of your life when you just want change? it could be drastic or minimal, but these potential changes you make, could have a profound effect on your quality of life. I am most definitely at this point, especially with the chain of events in my life at the moment.

Although minimal to some, the change I seek involves my vision. Now not many of you guys know but I wear glasses as I am short-sighted, or have myopia as the doctors like to say. So in simple terms I can't see far away without my glasses.I have been like this since I was 12, and let me tell you it was a struggle to accept wearing glasses!! As I have matured, I have come to terms with my short-sightedness and even enjoy,at times, rocking fashionable specs.

However, I do miss the freedom of  having 20/20 vision! especially on a night out. Steamed up specs are not sexy when your dancing in a crowded club. So, I decided to take the plunge and try contacts. As I like to think of myself as a little researcher, I stumbled upon ACUVUE contact lenses, which are one of the more popular brands in the UK. I found alot of key information about contact lense myths, such as contacts getting stuck in your eye, which lucky for me is a myth.

In addition, I found a range of products and I will  go for the Acuvue  , once I visit the optician as they suit me better.

This talk about vision ,got me thinking about equally important issues make-up! so I created a look that was suitable for glasses and non-glasses wearers.

Are you in need of a change? Do you wear contact lenses?

When I talk to people about my blog and my love for fashion, they always ask me when my interest began. To be honest, my love of fashion came from my mum! She has always had daring style and was never afraid to clash patterns or wear bold colours. It is through her, that my passion grew and it is her influence which makes me more daring with my outfit choices.
I decided that it was time for me to do an outfit of the day with my mum! First let's take a look at my outfit. This is by far my new favourite dress, which can I say was an absolute gem in Matalan(you can find more similar women’s dresses online). The print is bold and colourful! I decided to create some much need shape by cinching in my waist with my snakeskin belt from Primark. My Miss Selfridge ring adds a touch of edge to this uber femine outfit!  To finish off the look I wore black leggings and my new H&M  wedges, which are the comfiest shoes ever!

Even though she is older  now, he still knows how to put together an outfit effortlessly and look chic. I especially love the green in this dress and I love how she has paired the dress with her patent black wedges from Debenhams.

TLG and Handpicked Media Event: A/W 2012 collection from Nica, Mondalu and Fiorelli

My Outfit
Top-New Look
Necklace-Miss Selfridge
Belt-Dorothy Perkins
Boots-New Look

On the 10th of May, I along with the other Handpicked Media and Community collective, ventured into Central London for the A/W 2012 collection from Nica, Mondalu and Fiorelli. Now this was my first proper event, since joining Handpicked Community so I was very shy, which is very unlike me!

Nevertheless, I quickly warmed up and mingled with the other bloggers including Catherine from Frost Magazine, Katie from Dolly Bow Bow. In addition to that, the team were so sick! I also met the founder of Handpicked Media Krista Madden, who gave me some really great advice on blogging and future careers.

Like many women in the prescence of fabulouse bags, I was in awe! I was so taken back in the level of detail and individuality each collection possessed. If I had to choose my favourite bag it would have to be the ombré bag by Mondalu! I hovered round that bag during the whole evening o you know it was love at first sight. This bag seemed to be popular with the other lovely ladies! Even Lucy Rome  who worked for TLG loved it!

All in all it was a very chilled and lovely event, can't wait for my next one!
