  1. VIOLET BOOTS~£59.99
  3. GOLD HEELS~£44.99
  4. BLACK HEELS~£44.99

Hope you all had a sick Christmas and ate lots and lots! It's so weird to think we wait a whole year waiting and planning for one day, and then BAM! It comes and goes by in a flash. Well if you thought the holiday season was over, then don't fret as we still have one more party to attend before the year is out, that's right New Years EVE!

I always worry about what I am going to wear for the party of the year, especially the shoes I am going to choose. So this year I decided to work backwards and choose my shoes first and work out my outfit later, seems like a good idea right? I hope so. Anywho on my quest for the perfect shoes, I stumbled across shoes from Clarks. I was quite shocked at the gems they had in store; as my general idea of Clarks is the place where your Mum would take you to get the quality shoes, for School. However, the brand has swiftly upped their game by cleverly marrying quality with style.

I couldn't decided on 1 pair of shoes so I choose 5...ooops, this is going to be a toughie! My first choice was the violet boots. The vibrant colour attracted me instantly, I am a sucker for all shades of purple and boots. I defiantly think that these would be a conversation starter.

My second choice were the leopard boots. I really like the banana shaped heel, as it is unusual and very attractive. I feel that the shape and thickness of the heel would be very sturdy,so I could survive all night in these babies. I choose them mostly because they are leopard print, but they are a toned own print, which means that they would be versatile for everyday wear.

The Gold heels are a classic shape, but I love the gold detailing as it is just so shimmery... I am convinced I was a magpie in my past life. What I love most about this shoe is the exposed zipper on the heel, which adds a beautiful touch.

The Classic black heel is a must for a night out. This is a dupe of the gold heels, and it would be a safe and classy option, making my outfit selection very easy. I love the suede material and exposed zipper, it also looks really comfy too.

Finally, the Jewelled sandals are my wild card selection. It is not my usual type, but I was attracted because of the detail and  the shoes reminded me of  miu miu 2010 collection.

Hmm... I still can't decide so I made possible outfits for all of the shoes to make my decision easier.

Fiorelli Purse
Illamasqua Nail Polish~ Charisma
Illamasqua Lipstick~ Magnetism

It's Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! yes I am excited, because I can finally open my presents. Being a naughty gyal this year, I opened one of my presents early, which was from Tara from the Style RAWR. If you remember, I am apart of the money supermarket secret santa challenge (more info here).

I was really happy with what Tara bought me, you could tell she did her research! I love Fiorelli, leopard print, nail polish and lipstick. I was so chuffed to get the Illamasqua cosmetics as I have never owned products from the brand before, so I can't wait to create looks for these products.

All in all my Christmas was made extra special with these gifts, so thank you Tara!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Have you bought and wrapped all you gifts, and set them under the tree. Or are you last minuet, and are about to run off to Westfield to get the last remaining presents! One of the last presents I find hard to buy is ones for my guy mates and my Dad, I always think what can I get them and I procrastinate and panic wanting to get them the best gift. This year, I have had a think and I think one of the best gifts I have come across is the James Bond Gold Limited Edition fragrance set. Now I don't know about you? But I don't know any guy that doesn't aspire to be the suave James Bond, and the next best thing is to smell like the guy. I really like the packaging as it cleverly encapsulates Bond's sophisticated style! I  think it's clever with the the Gold Packaging, kinda reminds me of Golden Eye!

Now I was really concerned about the smell, I really wanted it to smell good! Apparantley it is has a fresh, woody musky smell! Perfect... sorry  this is short but I have to run and get this present before the shops close! Merry Christmas :)

MONEYSUPERMARKET | Secret Santa Blogger Challenge

We wish you a  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...... I have finally stopped being a little Grinch and gotten into the Christmas spirit. Not sure what started this joyful attitude, but I can assure you that the Moneysupermarket: Secret Santa Challenge definitely had something to do with it.

What's the Moneysupermarket Secret Santa challenge you ask? well about a month ago Moneysupermarket chose a handful of bloggers to participate in a Secret Santa challenge for bloggers. We were paired up with another blogger, and given the challenge to buy a gift which was no more than £25! If you've been following me for a while  you know that I love a challenge, so I snapped up the chance to be involved.

I was paired up with Tara, one half of the duo of the infamous The Style Rawr! I was pretty excited when I got Tara as I have been reading her blog for some time now. At first, I wasn't sure how I would approach this challenge. It would be easy to just buy a nice gift for £25 but I wanted to create a concept with my gift and a storyline, which fit in with the presents. Also I wanted to get Tara something she liked (hopefully). Scouring the highstreet for presents under £25 was hard, but I just made it by spending £24.84 on all of the presents you see before you.

I was chuffed and surprised when I saw how much effort Tara went to with her present in her post. It was good to know that shared some similarities like a love for Leopard Print! So Tara, your present is in the post and I hope you like your presents as it was fun coming up with the concept! I look forward to receiving yours too :)

You can also follow the challenge on twitter with the #MSMsecretsanta

Just a quick post to show you what I have been up to in the last month. On the 7th November, I turned 22!  I thought my 21st Birthday(see here), was one of the best birthdays to date, but this years celebrations came a close second!

I had no idea what to wear for the occasion, but luckily for me, ASOS gave me a 10% birthday voucher so I picked up this little number. The shape and length are very different styles that I am used to, but I kind of like it, what do you think? I didn't know what shoes to pair it with, but I got a lovely gift from Mr Postman who delivered the most comfiest shoe boots EVER. If you are like me and a slight heel-a-phobe, then get these, as they are very easy to walk in!

I spent my birthday at TGI Friday's in Covent Garden, followed by a night out in Penthouse in Leicester Square.  I wont bore you with the little details but the night was eventful to say the least! It involved a Russian midget tearing up the dance floor at the club.. I'll let your imagination run wild!

Top to Bottom: Outside the W hotel; inside the event;my outfit;Katy Perry range for Eylure; Anniversary range; We got our nails did;the uni girls and me; falsie nails;nail wraps;hedkadi range;bloggers and uni girls united!

Back in October, I went to a really great event at the W hotel in Central London, for Eylure and Elegant Touch! This was a slightly different event as I got to bring my flatmates from uni, so that they could get a piece of the fashion and beauty world, and boy did they love it!

We were first greeted with champers and other drinks whilst we gazed at the abundance of false eyelashes and nails. I was in awe with Eylure range especially the Katy Perry range and their anniversary collection which paid homage, to their 65 years in the eyelash game. I had the eylure 120's placed on me, and I loved how they looked natural but also gave me an edge.

I did a little fan girl squeak as I saw the collection of false nails by Elegant Touch... If you've been a follower for a while or have me on instagram(JD_lwig) you'll know I love to prettify my nails( not even a word..but it'll catch on). So I loved having a look at Elegant Touch's envy wraps, which are nail stickers. So if you are not very good at nail art but love interesting nail designs, check this range out! They also had their famous press on nails, which I was apprehensive about,as I am afraid of nail glue. But once I heard that they used nail adhesive tabs instead, I had my nails done.. I loved them so much.

This event was great as I got to meet bloggers old and new, especially some of my FBL members, such as my fellow admin Mary, Epiphannie,Ally,Lola , Vanese  and Vanessa

So a while ago I was sent this lipstick from Oriflame, a Swedish cosmetic brand. Now I was intrigued to try this lipstick as I had never heard of the brand before, however I was particularly interested in this product because it is the first lipstick to use powder core technology, so you'll get a satin finish once you applying.

What does Oriflame say about this product:
The world’s first ever lipstick using powder core technology gives the shine benefits of Power Shine with a new satin twist. Sparkling Power Shine core, created with 3D light reflecting technology, is edged by concentrated powder pigment, bringing long-wearing intense colour with a satin finish. 1.6 g.

Jess's verdict on Oriflame:
All in all, I quite liked this product. The simple yet chic packaging is a plus for me and can easily slip into my handbag. I really liked the smell, it was fresh, fruity and subtle kinda of like melon. Makes a much needed change from the artificial smells I usually have with lip products. The application was smooth, however when I did use a lip pencil as a base the colour and sheen dulled down a bit, so it looks slightly different from the hand swatch above. But without the pencil it is really smooth and pigmented. It lasted quite a while, but I did re-apply.

This product gets a 6/10 only becuase I need to try it for longer!

Would you consider buying this?

Coffin on Cake PR Press day

It's Wednesday guys and it's Halloween oooooh!! I have to tell you about a press day that I was extremely excited about, it was for Coffin on Cake PR(totally appropriate name for today, don't ya think). Coffin on Cake PR look after sick, alternative  brands such  as Surfdome, Juju,  Mr Lacy ,Denim Demon, Analog and many more. I ventured into my favourite place in the world, Shoreditch to view the SS13 collection of these brands. Before I went to the PR office, it was clear that Coffin on Cake PR had really got into the SS13 spirit by remodelling their office with a bright rainbow display, featuring the words Look Forward. I was definitely looking forward to viewing this new range.

As I went in I was greeted by one of the team members, Lauren who gave me a tour of the collections. Each if the collections were very different and unique:

Surfdome~ Surfdome is a lifestyle store which houses 800 well-known, fashion, street, lifestyle and outdoor brands.Key brands they house are Roxy,French Connection, Levi's and animal  among others.I'd have to say that this was one of my favourite collections, because of the laid back silhouettes and bright prints. I had my eye on the maxi dress and printed jeans.

Converse- Seeing the converse collection brought me back to my early teens when I was rocking a pair of green chucks, which I still have today. I expected to see the classic shoe, but I was happy to be surprised by the accessory line the brand has bought out. The bags stay true to the iconic brands legacy with the use of the canvas material in most of the bags.. I really wanted the red one.

Hush Puppies- Hush Puppies have teamed up with Hemingway to create a "mod" inspired shoe range. It was a cool range, there was a mixture of pastels, brogues and tassels.

Juju - Remember those jelly shoes you used to wear as a kid? well they were created by Juju back in the 80's. The brand is back with new shapes and colours and also is paying homage to it's iconic design with it's original basket shape. Even Azelia Banks is loving the comeback of these shoes, she had a custom pair made especially for her. Fashion designer Manuela Dack created new designs to fit in with the SS13 range! they look pretty cool don't ya think?

Demin Demon- I really like Denim Demon, with it's dark wash rinses the designers were inspired by the reindeer herding roots. I spy a button up I want to rock

Analog- In west Philadelphia born and raised... Analog reminded me of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, mostly because Will Smith's Summertime was blasting and I saw printed short and shirt combos which reminded me of the 90's. The brand is cool and laid back which makes sense as it has got a skater sufer kinda vibe. I was eyeing up the hoodies but I don't have a hat head..bad times.

Shimla- Shimla gets it''s name from the Valley's in the Himalayas. The bracelet brand aesthetic focuses on mixing braiding and weaving with extravagant jewels.

Mr lacy -Mr lacy is the biggest laces brand in the world, there were so many olour from matt laces to glow in the dark ones!

Thanks Coffin on Cake, I had a great time at the press day and the cakes were yum too!

London Fashion Weekend

Leather Jacket~Primark
Jimi Hendrix T-shirt ~Primark(Men's)

The end of September saw me meet up with Niki from Petitepip for SS13 of London Fashion Weekend. For those of you who don't know, I went to the AW12 with Niki back in February and I had a wonderful time.

Although I had great time meeting up with Niki again, I felt this year's showcase was just meh... the goody bag was not all that cracked up to be and it was designed by Mulberry. The catwalk was okay but it wasn't as good as last season.

There were some highlights though, the Henry Holland talk, looking at the gorgeous collection, free makeover and we had a magazine style shoot sponsored by Elle, although I waited 2 hours for my pic to be printed!

It was great to come back again, but I think I will wait again before I go to fashion weekend , I think it needs to be more activities as we spent a lot of time just wandering about.

Have you ever been to Fashion Weekend?
