As the big 2-5 is quickly approaching (1 month and 2 days away, eek), I feel a sense to up my game and add a sense of maturity to my outfits. Don't get me wrong, I will not be wearing knitted granny cardigans anytime soon. Also, I don't think I could say bye to my beloved bodycons, just yet! However, I wanted to explore different silhouettes, textures and colours and this range allowed me to do this. So the first item I piked out was the Bloomsbury Swallow print dress. The pattern on this dress hooked me in, coupled with the flowy cut, it was a dress I know I'll wear alot. Paired with the the double layered, faux fur gilet definitely give this dress an extra glam look.
My love for hats is going a little overboard, but can you blame me for having a hat addiction with beautiful pieces, such as the feather trim wool hat? I have to say, I was drawn to the delicate detailing of feathers. I love how the cream and delicate elements, contrasted beautifully with the dark edgy pieces. If you have been following me for a while, I always mix feminine pieces with edgy pieces. Why is this? Basically that's my personality. I am a nice person, but I have an edgy creative streak, as I was an artist back in the day.
Now, I did contemplate adding feminine heels to this outfit, but that's not really me. So I dusted off my trusty lace up boots from River Island, that I first debuted earlier this year. Not only are the comfy as hell, but they looked good paired with the outfit.
Not only did I dust off the boots, but I kept to the black theme with my coveted quilted bag from the devils playground (that's ebay for you confused readers). Sadly, I bought this item 2 years ago and it doesn't exist anymore!
All in all, this collection is really great and I am happy with the pieces I chose. I am really eager to see how it develops and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this brand. Do you like the look of Nine by Savannah Miller?
